El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Kennedy Eagles (Richmond, CA), 61-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, El Cerrito upgrades its record to 10-14 on the campaign. The Gauchos travel to Bethel (Vallejo, CA) to play the Jaguars in a Tri-County - Stone bout on Friday, February 3. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Bethel won 64-56 in their recent league bout against Swett (Crockett, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Richmond Oilers (Richmond, CA) in a Tri-County - Stone bout, on Friday, February 3. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Oilers come into the bout with a 7-18 record after their 81-41 league loss to Albany (Albany, CA).
