The Elk Creek Elks (Elk Creek, CA) basketball crushed the visiting Providence Lions (Orland, CA), 83-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Elks (2-10) will now prepare for their test against Paradise Adventist Academy (Paradise, CA). The Cougars go into the Pioneer test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Paradise Adventist Academy walloped Princeton (Princeton, CA), 69-63, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Providence will encounter a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 78-37 league loss to Loyalton (Loyalton, CA). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 5-13.
