Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM), 49-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Taos upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Alamosa (Alamosa, CO) to play the Mean Moose in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Mean Moose come into the bout with a record of 15-1.

Next up, the Sundevils play the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, February 3. Espanola Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Elks/Elkettes come into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 65-51 league win over Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM).
