The Itasca Wampus Cats basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Frost Polar Bears to 31 in the Wampus Cats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wampus Cats now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Italy for a 2A Region II District 12 contest on Friday, February 3. Itasca will battle a Gladiators team coming off a 60-44 league loss to Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX). The Gladiators record now stands at 9-11.
The Polar Bears (6-22) will now prepare for their contest against Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A Region II District 12 contest with a 10-18 record. In their last contest, Rio Vista triumphed over Hamilton (Hamilton, TX), 51-30, in a league contest.
