Newman International Academy Warriors (Cedar Hill, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Gateway Charter Academy Gators (Dallas, TX), 75-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newman International Academy upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Trinity Leadership (Cedar Hill, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 9 bout on Monday, February 6. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 8-17. Trinity Leadership won 101-34 in their recent league bout against Inspired Vision (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Gators play the Village Tech Viper Squid (Duncanville, TX) in a 3A Region II District 9 bout, on Friday, February 3. Gateway Charter Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Viper Squid come into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 62-19 league win over A Plus Academy (Dallas, TX).
