Gooding Senators (Gooding, ID) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wendell Trojans (Wendell, ID), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gooding upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Senators host Buhl (Buhl, ID) to play the Indians in a 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho bout on Friday, February 3. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Buhl won 65-58 in their recent league bout against Filer (Filer, ID)

Next up, the Trojans play the Declo Hornets (Declo, ID) in a 2A Canyon bout, on Friday, February 3. Wendell will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 57-46 non-league win over Aberdeen (Aberdeen, ID).
