Goodpasture Christian Cougars (Madison, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Nashville Christian Eagles (Nashville, TN), 65-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Goodpasture Christian upgrades its record to 22-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Davidson Academy (Nashville, TN) to play the Bears in a Division II-A Middle District 4 bout on Friday, February 3. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Davidson Academy won 67-51 in their recent league bout against Ezell-Harding Christian (Antioch, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Donelson Christian Academy Wildcats (Nashville, TN) in a Division II-A Middle District 4 bout, on Friday, February 3. Nashville Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 68-33 league loss to Clarksville Academy (Clarksville, TN).
