Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX), 76-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Leggett upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Pirates travel to Zavalla (Zavalla, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 28 bout on Friday, February 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-20. Zavalla lost 54-36 in their recent league bout against Chester (Chester, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the High Island Cardinals (High Island, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 28 bout, on Friday, February 3. Goodrich will attempt to upgrade on its 1-24 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-21 record after their 93-45 league loss to Spurger (Spurger, TX).
