Grantsburg Pirates (Grantsburg, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northwood Evergreens (Minong, WI), 63-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Grantsburg upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Pirates travel to Siren (Siren, WI) to play the Dragons in a Lakeland - West bout on Friday, February 3. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Siren won 56-43 in their recent league bout against Frederic (Frederic, WI)

Next up, the Evergreens play the Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles (Hayward, WI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 58-34 league loss to Drummond (Drummond, WI).
