The Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] Cougars basketball team (Belfield, ND), was toppled 56-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils (Hettinger, ND)

The Black Devils now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glen Ullin/Hebron for a B Region 7 battle on Friday, February 3. Hettinger/Scranton will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 81-58 league loss to Hazen (Hazen, ND). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-1.

The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Beulah (Beulah, ND). The Miners come into the B Region 7 battle with a 9-2 record.
