Illinois High School Basketball - Maine East fells Highland Park

Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL), 62-47 in a league bout.
With the win, Maine East upgrades its record to 14-10 on the season. The Blue Demons travel to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL) to play the Cougars in a Central Suburban - North bout on Friday, February 3. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-13. Vernon Hills lost 77-68 in their recent league bout against Niles North (Skokie, IL)
Next up, the Giants play the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a Central Suburban - North bout, on Friday, February 3. Highland Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 18-5 record after their 67-48 league win over Maine West (Des Plaines, IL).
