Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Holton Wildcats (Holton, KS), 62-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Royal Valley upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Sabetha (Sabetha, KS) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 14-0. Sabetha won 70-33 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Holton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 49-30 non-league win over Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS).
