Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Plain Dealing Lions (Plain Dealing, LA), 71-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Homer upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Pelicans host Gibsland-Coleman (Gibsland, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 20-7. Gibsland-Coleman won 80-40 in their recent league bout against Family Community Christian (Winnsboro, LA)

Next up, the Lions play the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a 1A District 1 bout, on Monday, February 6. Plain Dealing will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.
