The Hutchinson Salthawks basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host Newton Railroaders to 37 in the Salthawks non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Salthawks now sport a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I contest on Friday, February 3. Hutchinson will battle a Cougars team coming off a 71-48 non-league loss to Maize South (Wichita, KS). The Cougars record now stands at 1-12.

The Railroaders (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Colts come into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Haysville Campus was routed by Goddard (Goddard, KS), 75-63, in a non-league contest.
