In Tuesday's league outing, the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) basketball squad beat the host Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX), by a count of 48-38.

The Mustangs (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against Childress (Childress, TX). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region I District 2 outing with a 18-7 record. In their last outing, Childress defeated Abernathy (Abernathy, TX), 61-44, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 17-12 record. They play next when they host Slaton for a 3A Region I District 2 outing on Friday, February 3. Idalou will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 50-32 league loss to Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-17.
