South Carolina High School Basketball - Irmo nips Ridge View

January 31, 2023: Columbia, SC 29229

Irmo Yellowjackets (Columbia, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), 53-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Irmo upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Yellowjackets host A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC) to play the Falcons in a AAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, February 3. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 12-10. A.C. Flora won 51-50 in their recent league bout against Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Blazers play the Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, February 3. Ridge View will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 69-60 league loss to Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC).
