In Tuesday's league outing, the Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting University Phoenix (Newark, NJ), by a margin of 76-72.
The Blue Knights (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ). The Minutemen go into the non-league outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Newark Academy was tipped by Barringer (Newark, NJ), 57-54, in a non-league outing.
The Phoenix now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they host Bloomfield for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 2. University will clash with a Bengals squad coming off a 58-56 non-league loss to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ). The Bengals record now stands at 5-12.
