The Islands Sharks basketball team (Savannah, GA), was overwhelmed 92-43 in Tuesday's league battle with the host New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA)

The Phoenix now possess a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benedictine for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Friday, February 3. New Hampstead will confront a Cadets team coming off a 66-29 league win over Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Cadets record now stands at 12-5.

The Sharks (4-20) will now prepare for their battle against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears come into the AAAA Region 3 battle with a 14-7 record. In their last battle, Burke County was overwhelmed by Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA), 77-66, in a league battle.
