The Lakeview Lakers basketball team (Cottonwood, MN), was nudged 71-65 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN)
The Knights now possess a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canby for a A Section 3 battle on Friday, February 3. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton will confront a Lancers team coming off a 68-48 league win over Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN). The Lancers record now stands at 9-9.
The Lakers (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (Tracy, MN). The Panthers come into the A Section 3 battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton edged Minneota (Minneota, MN), 62-58, in a league battle.
