Mason Comets (Mason, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakota East Thunderhawks (Liberty Township, OH), 71-68 in a league bout.

With the win, Mason upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Comets travel to Middletown (Middletown, OH) to play the Middies in a Greater Miami bout on Friday, February 3. The Middies go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Middletown won 52-48 in their recent league bout against Fairfield (Fairfield, OH)

Next up, the Thunderhawks play the Oak Hills Highlanders (Cincinnati, OH) in a Greater Miami bout, on Friday, February 3. Lakota East will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 38-29 league win over Colerain (Cincinnati, OH).
