California High School Basketball - McFarland edged by Shafter

The McFarland Cougars basketball team (McFarland, CA), was nudged 43-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA)

The Generals now possess a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delano for a South Sequoia battle on Wednesday, February 1. Shafter will confront a Tigers team coming off a 48-41 league loss to Chavez (Delano, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-18.

The Cougars (11-13) will now prepare for their battle against Taft (Taft, CA). The Wildcats come into the South Sequoia battle with a 9-13 record. In their last battle, Taft edged Wasco (Wasco, CA), 64-56, in a league battle.
