The Spanish Springs Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting McQueen Lancers to 41 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Douglas for a 5A Northern contest on Friday, February 3. Spanish Springs will meet a Tigers team coming off a 71-47 league loss to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV). The Tigers record now stands at 13-9.

The Lancers (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders enter the 5A Northern contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Reed nudged Carson (Carson City, NV), 62-50, in a league contest.
