Iowa High School Basketball - Mid-Prairie can't hold off Tipton

The Tipton Tigers basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks to 49 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Branch for a River Valley contest on Tuesday, February 7. Tipton will battle a Bears team coming off a 85-72 league loss to Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Bears record now stands at 10-8.

The Golden Hawks (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Regina (Iowa City, IA). The Regals enter the River Valley contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Regina was nudged by Solon (Solon, IA), 58-49, in a non-league contest.
