Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Millry Wildcats (Millry, AL), 44-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southern Choctaw upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Fruitdale (Fruitdale, AL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 3-16. Fruitdale lost 51-46 in their recent non-league bout against Washington County (Chatom, AL)
