Massachusetts High School Basketball - Monomoy knocked off by Nantucket

The Nantucket Whalers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Monomoy Sharks to 53 in the Whalers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Whalers now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cape Cod Academy for a Cape & Islands - Meritime contest on Friday, February 3. Nantucket will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 60-57 league loss to Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA). The Seahawks record now stands at 7-8.
The Sharks (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA). The Vineyarders enter the Cape & Islands - Meritime contest with a 13-1 record. In their last contest, Martha's Vineyard Regional ran past Cape Cod Academy (Osterville, MA), 60-57, in a league contest.
