In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) basketball squad edged the host Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL), by a margin of 70-68.

The Hilltoppers (8-17) will now prepare for their outing against Lutheran (Springfield, IL). The Crusaders go into the non-league outing with a 5-18 record. In their last outing, Lutheran held off Pawnee (Pawnee, IL), 39-37, in a league outing.

The Tornadoes now own a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to South County for a MSM outing on Friday, February 3. Tri-City will clash with a Vipers squad coming off a 45-40 non-league loss to North Mac (Virden, IL). The Vipers record now stands at 14-13.
