Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nutley Maroon Raiders (Nutley, NJ), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newark Collegiate Academy upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Panthers host Science Park (Newark, NJ) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Science Park won 51-41 in their recent non-league bout against West Orange (West Orange, NJ)

Next up, the Maroon Raiders play the Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Nutley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 55-28 non-league win over Shabazz (Newark, NJ).
