Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Dickinson Nordics (Felch, MI), 42-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rapid River upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Rockets travel to Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Superior Central won 45-44 in their recent non-league bout against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI)

Next up, the Nordics play the Bark River-Harris Broncos (Harris, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. North Dickinson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 78-43 non-league loss to Munising (Munising, MI).
