In Tuesday's league outing, the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Spooner Rails (Spooner, WI), by a count of 79-31.
The Tigers (14-2) will now prepare for their outing against Ashland (Ashland, WI). The Oredockers go into the Heart O'North outing with a 5-12 record. In their last outing, Ashland was crushed by Ladysmith (Ladysmith, WI), 88-43, in a league outing.
The Rails now hold a 1-15 record. They play next when they travel to St. Croix Falls for a Heart O'North outing on Friday, February 3. Spooner will clash with a Saints squad coming off a 62-52 league loss to Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI). The Saints record now stands at 6-10.
