The Norwayne Bobcats basketball team (Creston, OH), was nudged 53-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH)
The Smithies now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waynedale for a Wayne County battle on Friday, February 3. Smithville will confront a Golden Bears team coming off a 52-49 league win over Chippewa (Doylestown, OH). The Golden Bears record now stands at 8-9.
The Bobcats (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rittman (Rittman, OH). The Indians come into the Wayne County battle with a 1-17 record. In their last battle, Rittman was nudged by Hillsdale (Jeromesville, OH), 53-36, in a league battle.
