Connecticut High School Basketball - Portland topples Old Lyme

In Tuesday's league outing, the Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT) basketball squad beat the visiting Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT), by a count of 54-40.

The Highlanders (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Blue Devils go into the Shoreline outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, Coginchaug Regional defeated Westbrook (Westbrook, CT), 53-51, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Hale Ray for a Shoreline outing on Friday, February 3. Old Lyme will clash with a Noises squad coming off a 58-43 league win over Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT). The Noises record now stands at 6-7.
