Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pottsville thwarted by Panther Valley

The Panther Valley Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Pottsville Crimson Tide to 37 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tamaqua for a Schuylkill County 1 contest on Friday, February 3. Panther Valley will battle a Blue Raiders team coming off a 50-39 league loss to Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 8-11.

The Crimson Tide (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Eagles enter the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Blue Mountain ran past Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA), 60-24, in a league contest.
