The Salem Witches (Salem, MA) basketball nipped the host Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners (Peabody, MA), 41-36 in Tuesday's league test.
The Witches (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Saugus (Saugus, MA). The Sachems go into the Northeastern - Small test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Saugus got by KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate (Lynn, MA), 78-76, in a non-league test.
The Tanners now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Gloucester for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Peabody Veterans Memorial will encounter a Fishermen squad coming off a 54-40 league win over Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Fishermen record now stands at 8-5.
