Georgia High School Basketball - Peach County can't hold off Upson-Lee

January 31, 2023: Thomaston, GA 30286

The Upson-Lee Knights basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Peach County Trojans to 47 in the Knights league victory on Tuesday.

The Knights now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mary Persons for a AAA Region 2 contest on Friday, February 3. Upson-Lee will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-70 league loss to Jackson (Jackson, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-14.

The Trojans (4-18) will now prepare for their contest against Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Pirates come into the AAA Region 2 contest with a 0-18 record. In their last contest, Pike County was nudged by Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA), 70-43, in a league contest.
