The Weslaco Panthers basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Rivera Raiders to 44 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.

With the win, Weslaco upgrades its record to 12-19 on the season. The Panthers host Hanna (Brownsville, TX) to play the Golden Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, February 3. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 24-10. Hanna won 69-65 in their recent league bout against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, February 3. Rivera will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 10-21 record after their 43-36 league loss to San Benito (San Benito, TX).
