Illinois High School Basketball - Routt Catholic can't hold off West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]

The West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Routt Catholic Rockets to 48 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrollton for a Western Illinois Valley contest on Friday, February 3. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] will battle a Hawks team coming off a 65-41 league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 8-16.

The Rockets (22-2) will now prepare for their contest against Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Tigers come into the Western Illinois Valley contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Greenfield/Northwestern edged Carrollton (Carrollton, IL), 65-41, in a league contest.
