Texas High School Basketball - Sabine can't hold off White Oak

The White Oak Roughnecks basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Sabine Cardinals to 39 in the Roughnecks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Roughnecks now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Diana for a 3A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, February 3. White Oak will battle a Eagles team coming off a 47-32 league win over Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 19-5.

The Cardinals (8-18) will now prepare for their contest against Gladewater (Gladewater, TX). The Bears enter the 3A Region II District 15 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Gladewater was nudged by Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX), 84-54, in a league contest.
