The Seymour Eagles basketball team (Seymour, TN), was overwhelmed 73-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN)

The Smoky Bears now possess a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morristown-Hamblen West for a 4A District 2 battle on Friday, February 3. Sevier County will battle a Trojans team coming off a 59-55 non-league loss to Volunteer (Church Hill, TN). The Trojans record now stands at 10-11.

The Eagles (2-21) will now prepare for their battle against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Cougars come into the 3A District 3 battle with a 14-11 record. In their last battle, Northview Academy was overwhelmed by Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN), 63-54, in a non-league battle.
