Texas High School Basketball - Abilene ripped by Coronado

The Coronado Mustangs basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Abilene Eagles to 24 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 22-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Friday, February 3. Coronado will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 80-15 league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-17.
The Eagles (13-19) will now prepare for their contest against Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Pirates enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 23-6 record. In their last contest, Cooper triumphed over Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 70-55, in a league contest.
