The West Stanly Colts basketball team (Oakboro, NC), was toppled 58-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC)

The Bearcats now possess a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a 2A/3A Conference 44 battle on Friday, February 3. Anson will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 55-18 non-league win over Central (Pageland, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 7-15.

The Colts (6-15) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks come into the 2A/3A Conference 44 battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Monroe beat Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 58-29, in a league battle.
