Georgia High School Basketball - Appling County winner over Toombs County

The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) basketball felled the host Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), 51-35 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pirates (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Warriors go into the AA Region 3 test with a 12-8 record. In their last test, Tattnall County thwarted Brantley County (Nahunta, GA), 54-37, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they travel to Tattnall County for a AA Region 3 test on Friday, February 3. Toombs County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 51-34 league win over Appling County (Baxley, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 13-8.
