Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) and the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), witnessed Ballard's basketball squad beat Gilbert by a margin of 64-44.

The Bombers (14-2) will now prepare for their test against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets go into the Raccoon River test with a 15-1 record. In their last test, North Polk thwarted Winterset (Winterset, IA), 53-29, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River test on Friday, February 3. Gilbert will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 58-38 non-league win over Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 8-8.
