In Tuesday's league outing, the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) basketball squad felled the visiting Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA), by a margin of 44-28.

The Lions (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA). The Eagles go into the 1A District 7 outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, Vermilion Catholic was beaten by Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA), 72-42, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Jeanerette for a 1A District 7 outing on Friday, February 3. Hanson Memorial will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 39-29 non-league win over Berwick (Berwick, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-6.
