Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Covington Owls (Covington, TX), 62-29 in a league game.

In their next game, the Dragons face the Kopperl Eagles (Kopperl, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 game, on Friday, February 3. Iredell will attempt to move on its 15-3 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 0-12 record after their 41-13 league loss to Iredell (Iredell, TX).

With the defeat, Covington moves to 2-8 on the year.
