Georgia High School Basketball - Monroe overwhelms Crisp County

January 31, 2023: Albany, GA 31701

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) and the visiting Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), saw Monroe's basketball squad wallop Crisp County by a tally of 65-29.

With the victory, Monroe improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host Dougherty (Albany, GA) to confront the Trojans in a AAA Region 1 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Dougherty won 57-31 in their recent league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) in a AAA Region 1 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Crisp County will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 88-25 league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA).
