Texas High School Basketball - New Summerfield overwhelmed by Cushing

The Cushing Bearkats basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting New Summerfield Hornets to 37 in the Bearkats league victory on Tuesday.
The Bearkats now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Overton for a 2A Region III District 22 contest on Friday, February 3. Cushing will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 44-28 league loss to Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-12.
The Hornets (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Carlisle (Price, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 5-20 record. In their last contest, Carlisle was routed by Cushing (Cushing, TX), 37-28, in a league contest.
