Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Echo Cougars (Echo, OR), 75-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Nixyaawii Community upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Eagles host Elgin (Elgin, OR) to play the Huskies in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Thursday, February 2. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Elgin won 45-24 in their recent league bout against Griswold (Helix, OR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Friday, February 3. Echo will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 45-24 league loss to Elgin (Elgin, OR).
