The Hicks Pirates basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Elizabeth Bulldogs to 22 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anacoco for a B District 4 contest on Friday, February 3. Hicks will battle a Indians team coming off a 74-46 league win over Pitkin (Pitkin, LA). The Indians record now stands at 18-9.
The Bulldogs (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Rapides (Lecompte, LA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-23 record. In their last contest, Rapides was routed by Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA), 52-12, in a league contest.
