San Juan Spartans (Citrus Heights, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Esparto Spartans (Esparto, CA), 39-14 in a league bout.

With the victory, San Juan upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Golden Sierra (Garden Valley, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a Sierra Delta League bout on Friday, February 3. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Golden Sierra lost 43-37 in their recent league bout against Highlands (North Highlands, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Vacaville Christian Falcons (Vacaville, CA) in a Sierra Delta League bout, on Friday, February 3. Esparto will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 42-21 league loss to Rio Vista (Rio Vista, CA).
