The Evant Elks basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Sidney Eagles to 40 in the Elks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Elks now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mullin for a 1A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, February 3.
The Eagles (2-18) will now prepare for their contest against Gustine (Gustine, TX). The Tigers enter the 1A Region III District 18 contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Gustine was outscored by Priddy (Priddy, TX), 47-23, in a league contest.
